At its annual event introducing the new generation of iPhones, Apple also announced three new models of its smart watch: the Apple Watch Series 11, Watch Ultra 3, and Watch SE 3. All three devices have been significantly upgraded in terms of connectivity, design, and health-tracking features, promising to expand their ability to support users in various situations.

Apple Watch Series 11

The Apple Watch Series 11 is the main upgrade to Apple’s line of mainstream smartwatches, featuring a design that is touted as the “thinnest and most comfortable yet.” The ion-X glass surface is coated with an atomically bonded layer of ceramic, doubling its scratch resistance compared to the previous generation. The device also integrates 5G connectivity, employing a new modem and antenna architecture to expand coverage while conserving power.

A notable feature is its ability to detect and warn of potential high blood pressure, expanding the important health-tracking tools beyond heart rate and fall detection. The Watch Series 11 runs on the watchOS 26 operating system and introduces a completely new interface called Liquid Glass, along with a new watch face called Flow, inspired by traditional regulator-style clocks.

Apple Watch Ultra 3

In the premium segment, the Apple Watch Ultra 3 offers a host of notable upgrades after a two-year hiatus in new models. It features a new 3D-printed chassis, thinner display borders, and the largest screen ever on an Apple Watch. The third-generation LTPO display technology enables clear viewing even at tilted angles while being more energy-efficient. As a result, the watch offers 42 hours of regular usage and up to 72 hours in power-saving mode.

The key feature is two-way satellite connectivity, enabling message sending, location sharing via Emergency SOS and Find My, even in areas without cellular coverage. The Ultra 3 also includes the S10 chip, like the Series 11, and supports blood pressure measurement. Pre-orders for the Apple Watch Ultra 3 began on September 10, with deliveries starting on September 19, at a starting price of $799 (approximately 21 million VND).

Apple also introduced an upgrade for its mainstream audience with the SE 3. For the first time, the Apple Watch SE features an always-on display, 5G connectivity, and the S10 chip. Two new features have been added: a wrist temperature sensor and sleep apnea detection. Additionally, the SE 3 charges twice as fast as its predecessor, yet the price remains unchanged at $249 (approximately 6.5 million VND) for the 40mm version, with deliveries starting on September 19.

Apple Watch SE 3

The three new Apple Watch models represent three different segments but showcase Apple’s focus on health and stronger connectivity. From blood pressure tracking to satellite communication, Apple’s wearable devices are playing an increasingly important role in daily life.
