According to the People’s Procuracy of Thanh Hoa province, on the evening of August 28, the Investigation Police Agency of the provincial public security department issued a warrant to search and urgently arrest Cao Tien Doan (born in 1960, commonly known as “Bầu” Doan), Chairman of the Members’ Council and General Director of Dong A Real Estate Group Joint Stock Company, for the crime of “Violation of accounting regulations, causing serious consequences.”

In relation to this case, the functional agencies expanded their investigation, and the People’s Procuracy of Thanh Hoa province approved the decisions to prosecute and issue arrest warrants for seven defendants, including:
Le Anh Xuan (born in 1973, former Secretary of Hạc Thành Ward Party Committee and former Secretary of the Thanh Hoa City Party Committee); Tran Anh Chung (born in 1974, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade and former Chairman of Thanh Hoa City People’s Committee); Le Mai Khanh (born in 1972, Chairman of Dong Son Ward People’s Committee and former Vice Chairman of Thanh Hoa City People’s Committee); Tao Minh Hanh (former Director of Thanh Hoa City Land Fund Center); Vu Hoang Tan (former official of Thanh Hoa City Land Fund Center).
These defendants were prosecuted for the crime of “Abusing position and power while performing official duties.”
The Investigation Police Agency of Thanh Hoa province also prosecuted and arrested Tran Tat Hung (Director of Lam Son Joint-stock Auction Company) for investigating the crime of “Taking bribes” and Ha Van Hieu (employee of Dong A Real Estate Group Joint Stock Company) for investigating the crime of “Violation of regulations on auction activities of assets.”

Regarding Cao Tien Doan, in addition to the crime of violating accounting regulations and causing serious consequences, he was also additionally prosecuted for investigating the crime of “Violation of regulations on auction activities of assets.”
