Panorama of Vietnam’s Private Economy Model: “Public-Private Nation Building: Vigor and Prosperity”

The Panorama of Vietnam’s Private Economy model aspires to achieve the goal of “Public-Private Nation Building: Vigor and Prosperity.” It promotes a collaborative mechanism where the private sector and state agencies work together in economic development. The model also serves as a hub for the convergence of intellect, resources, and influential voices, offering profound solutions from the community of private enterprises, both large and small. This collective effort contributes to realizing the objective of developing the private economic sector into the most crucial driving force of the economy.”

Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, Chairwoman of the Sovico Group, emphasized that the private sector currently contributes over 40% of GDP, and we are striving to increase this figure to 60-70%.

“Private enterprises stand shoulder to shoulder with the government in policy formulation, ensuring that every economic decision is grounded in scientific and practical insights,” asserted Ms. Thao. “This is not merely a tool but a lever to unlock resources and elevate the private sector as a national pillar, playing a pivotal role in the country’s development toward 2030 and the vision for 2045.

We understand that the responsibility of entrepreneurs extends beyond profits to encompass social value creation, sustainable development, environmental protection, and instilling faith in our nation,” she emphasized.
