This project, located in Long Thanh District, Dong Nai Province, is designed to accommodate the simultaneous maintenance of a minimum of 2 Code E aircraft and 4 Code C aircraft. The second aircraft maintenance facility will be connected to the first, including the construction of an administration building, installation of equipment and auxiliary items, and synchronous technical infrastructure.

Upon completion, the project will contribute to the formation of a modern aircraft maintenance complex serving domestic airlines and meeting the operational requirements of Long Thanh International Airport in its first phase.

VAECO is a specialized aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul provider, built upon the longstanding technical foundation of Vietnam Airlines.

Since 1956, Vietnam Airlines (formerly known as Vietnam Civil Aviation) has been developing and expanding its aviation technical system. With government support, the airline has invested in modern maintenance facilities, including hangars at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi and Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City.

In 2006, VAECO was officially established based on Vietnam Airlines’ existing maintenance workshops, as per the decision of the Prime Minister. The company inherited infrastructure, equipment, and a team of experienced technicians from its parent company.

Since then, VAECO has continuously developed and expanded its capabilities, becoming a leading aircraft maintenance provider in Vietnam.

The company now owns six state-of-the-art hangars across two main bases in Noi Bai and Tan Son Nhat, capable of servicing both wide-body and narrow-body aircraft. Each hangar is fully equipped with specialized systems, including access platforms and crane systems, enabling technicians to reach all areas of the aircraft during maintenance work.

With a strong team of over 2,800 personnel, including 1,800 staff directly involved in maintenance and 800 internationally certified engineers, VAECO serves not only Vietnam Airlines but also provides services to more than 80 other international airlines.

VAECO’s technical capabilities are certified by Vietnam’s Civil Aviation Authority, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), ensuring compliance with the most stringent international aircraft maintenance standards.
