As of today’s coffee prices, the trading session concluded last night, early this morning on September 13th (Vietnam time), Robusta coffee prices on the London exchange rose by 1.67%-1.82%, while Arabica prices on the New York exchange increased by 2.16%-2.78%.
Today’s Coffee Prices: Global Market Surges
For the benchmark contracts, Robusta for November 2025 delivery climbed by $80 per ton to $4,601 per ton, and Arabica for December 2025 delivery rose by $240 per ton to $8,750 per ton.
Over the past week, Robusta experienced four sessions of price increases and one session of decline, resulting in a weekly gain of $292 per ton, or 6.78%. Arabica prices also surged by $520 per ton, equivalent to approximately 6.3%.

Coffee prices rose in four sessions and fell in one session last week
Following the price decline in the first week of September, the second week witnessed a significant recovery, bringing optimism to coffee holders.
Today’s coffee prices in the Central Highlands region are expected to continue rising from the average of 118,200 VND/kg before the London session begins.
Today’s Coffee Prices: Instant Coffee Boom?
The International Coffee Organization’s (ICO) August 2025 market report highlights that several exporters have been enhancing their coffee value chains by expanding instant coffee production capacities.
For instance, from 2020 to 2025, India is estimated to have increased its instant coffee production capacity by 0.89 million 60-kg bags of green coffee beans, while Vietnam added 1.92 million bags.
Meanwhile, in Mexico, Nestlé’s plant with a capacity of 0.67 million bags commenced operations in July 2022.

Growing trend in instant coffee consumption
The share of instant coffee in the total export volume of all coffee types during the 2024-2025 coffee year increased to 11.1%, up from 9% in the previous year.
Brazil was the world’s largest exporter of instant coffee in July 2025, with 0.28 million bags.
Instant coffee is gaining popularity due to its convenience and improved quality from new technologies. Even specialty coffee is now being processed into instant form.
