On September 16th, the Can Tho Department of Health issued a notice to relevant agencies and units regarding the suspension and recall of LD Perfume Oil (12ml bottle) with production batch number LD043979, valid for 36 months after opening.
The product is distributed by LD Group Trading and Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (Cai Rang District, Can Tho City).

The recall is due to the product failing quality tests on sensory criteria and non-compliance with labeling regulations.
The Department of Health has instructed the Pharmaceutical Business Division to collaborate with the Health Service Management Division, local authorities, and relevant agencies to notify all businesses and users to immediately cease the sale and use of the affected batch and return it to the supplier.
Additionally, they are to collect and dispose of any violating products, monitor compliance, and enforce penalties for non-compliance as per regulations.
The Facebook page “LD Perfume Oil,” with 129,000 followers, promotes the product as authentic French perfume oil, claiming it’s among Vietnam’s top 10 leading brands.
The page also addresses the recall, explaining that the product failed sensory tests (color), which the company deems subjective and unrelated to fragrance quality or safety.
Regarding labeling issues, the company attributes them to incomplete information as per new regulations. Previously, they noted “36 months from opening,” a common practice in international perfumery.
The company pledges to promptly update packaging to fully comply with Vietnamese law.
