20 Projects in Ho Chi Minh City Under Inspection Scrutiny, 6 Projects Removed from the List

The Government Inspectorate initially planned to directly audit 20 projects in Ho Chi Minh City, identified as problematic and at risk of loss or waste. However, the agency has recently decided to suspend the inspection of 6 of these projects.

Regarding the 20 projects in Ho Chi Minh City under direct inspection by the Government Inspectorate as per Plan 1505 issued on July 22, the Chief Government Inspector recently signed a decision to suspend the inspection of 6 projects.

The suspension is due to these 6 projects having previously concluded inspections. All are transportation infrastructure projects, including:

The Chief Government Inspector’s decision to suspend these 6 projects was based on reports from the Government Office, resolutions of the Standing Party Committee of the Government Inspectorate, and recommendations from the inspection team leader.

Previously, on July 22, the Government Inspectorate issued Plan 1505 for specialized inspections of projects facing difficulties, delays, prolonged stagnation, low efficiency, and potential risks of loss and waste.

Under this plan, the Government Inspectorate will directly inspect 145 projects managed by central ministries, agencies, and corporations. Additionally, inspections will be conducted on major projects in localities with total investment exceeding VND 1.5 trillion.

In Ho Chi Minh City, the Government Inspectorate plans to directly inspect 20 projects, including the 6 suspended projects mentioned above.

Recently, the HCMC People’s Committee proposed removing 15 projects from the inspection list, citing they do not fall within the inspection scope.

Following the suspension of 6 projects, the Government Inspectorate will continue inspecting the remaining 14 projects in HCMC. Most of these are real estate projects, as detailed below:
