On September 15th, the Vietnamese Dong (VND) remained stable against the US Dollar, while the exchange rate with the Chinese yuan saw a slight decrease at various banks.
Specifically, the central exchange rate listed by the State Bank of Vietnam was 25,216 VND/USD, unchanged from September 12th.
Within the ±5% trading band, the ceiling rate on September 15th was 26,477 VND/USD, and the floor rate was 23,955 VND/USD.
The reference exchange rate at the State Bank of Vietnam’s trading office is currently 24,006-26,426 VND/USD (buy-sell).
At commercial banks as of 8:30 AM on September 15th, Vietcombank listed the USD exchange rate at 26,196-26,476 VND/USD (buy-sell), unchanged from September 12th.
At BIDV, the USD buying rate decreased by 5 VND, bringing the USD exchange rate to 26,210-26,476 VND/USD (buy-sell).
For the Chinese yuan, both Vietcombank and BIDV adjusted their rates downward compared to September 12th.
Vietcombank now lists the yuan exchange rate at 3,646-3,762 VND/CNY (buy-sell), a decrease of 5 VND on the buying side and 6 VND on the selling side.
At BIDV, the yuan exchange rate is 3,661-3,747 VND/CNY (buy-sell), down 5 VND on the buying side and 4 VND on the selling side.
