Entering its 8th year in Vietnam, the United Overseas Bank’s (UOB) flagship Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) event has raised a record-breaking VND 940 million to support digital education for underprivileged children in the Mekong Delta. This initiative is part of UOB’s five-year commitment, launched in 2023, aimed at enhancing access to digital education for students in the region.
The entire fundraising amount will be donated to the Saigon Children’s Charity CIO to establish three computer labs for nearly 2,000 students at Luong The Vinh Secondary School, Vo Truong Toan Secondary School, and Nguyen Van Troi Secondary School in An Giang Province. This effort aligns with UOB Vietnam’s pledge to equip five computer labs in the Mekong Delta by 2027.

Over 2,000 participants joined the UOB Heartbeat Run 2025 in Vietnam
This year’s run featured 3km, 5km, and 10km races, alongside engaging activities for all ages, including live music, interactive games, and a charity fair. For every kilometer completed, UOB Vietnam pledged VND 30,000 to the UOB Heartbeat Fund.
Leading up to the event, UOB employees organized various fundraising activities over two months, including a charity concert, sales of eco-friendly UOB Heartbeat t-shirts made from 100% recycled plastic, crossbody bags, tote bags, and handcrafted plush toys created by individuals with disabilities. During the run, UOB Vietnam’s employees, partners, and clients collaborated on a charity fair, with all proceeds contributing to the UOB Heartbeat Fund.
