Redefining Financial Products Through Technology and Personalization
In 2025, VIB made a significant impact by infusing traditional financial products with new life through technology and flexible mechanisms. The Super Interest Account allows idle funds to generate returns of up to 4.3% annually while permitting withdrawals at any time without losing accrued interest. The iDepo solution offers interest rates of up to 6.2% annually and ensures profit preservation even when customers withdraw funds prematurely.
Within months of its launch, the Super Interest Account reached half a million users and was recognized by three prestigious international organizations. Simultaneously, MyVIB – VIB‘s digital banking platform – continues to play a central role. By integrating next-generation AI, the app was awarded the “Most Innovative AI Application in Digital Banking 2025” by the International Finance Awards.
Since 2017, MyVIB’s user base has grown 30-fold, now serving over 70% of individual customers and processing millions of transactions daily. In the first half of 2025 alone, QR transactions increased by 86%, bill payments by 60%, and new customers via MyVIB rose by 84% year-on-year.

VIB is among the first banks to leverage Big Data, AI, and GenAI in customer service to deeply understand user needs. The bank also pioneers the integration of digital behavior data into internal processes – from eKYC and voice authentication to credit limit approvals – making transactions faster, safer, and more convenient.
A prime example is the home loan package for townhouses and apartments: with a database of over 800,000 properties in major cities, VIB can appraise assets in one minute and reduce loan approval times to just 4–8 hours, down from several days previously. VIB‘s credit cards have also become a “tailored” tool, allowing customers to personalize everything from card design to spending features.
Innovation – The Catalyst for Retail Leadership and Cultural Integration
Through innovation rooted in customer understanding, accelerated by technology, and differentiated by personalization, VIB continually sets new benchmarks and wins international accolades.
A standout example is the credit card segment. In August 2025, VIB reached the milestone of 1 million credit cards, joining the elite million-card club. From 92,000 cards in 2018, the portfolio has grown tenfold in just seven years. Currently, VIB holds nearly 7% of the market share in card circulation and new card issuance, ranking among the top three in card spending and leading Vietnamese banks in Mastercard spending. Average spending per card exceeds the market average by 50%.
Beyond scale, the Visa–Mastercard–American Express ecosystem, coupled with personalization technology, has solidified VIB‘s international reputation. The bank has garnered awards such as “Best Credit Card Provider 2025” (Global Business Outlook), “Innovation in Credit Cards” (Global Brands Magazine), and “AI-Driven Personalization in Card Experience” (Visa).
