Vietnam’s Largest Multi-Level Marketing Company Generates $170 Million in Half a Year, Capturing 53% of Industry Revenue

Decline in Multi-Level Marketing Participants

According to the National Competition Commission’s report on multi-level marketing activities, the total number of participants in the first half of 2025 reached 634,567, a 13.43% decrease compared to the same period in 2024 (732,997 participants).

The majority of participants (91% of the industry) are concentrated in five major companies: Herbalife Vietnam LLC, followed by Amway Vietnam LLC, Care For Vietnam LLC, Tiens Vietnam LLC, and Unicity Marketing Vietnam LLC.

Notably, the number of new participants (101,876) was significantly lower than the number of contract terminations (130,893), leading to an overall industry decline compared to 2024.

Industry Revenue Exceeds 7 Trillion VND, Down by Over 9%

Total multi-level marketing revenue in the first half of 2025 surpassed 7 trillion VND, a decrease of more than 9% compared to the same period last year. The top five companies accounted for nearly 93% of the industry’s revenue in the first half of 2025.

The highest-grossing company was Herbalife Vietnam LLC, with over 4 trillion VND, representing approximately 53% of the industry’s total revenue.

Revenue from multi-level marketing companies primarily comes from dietary supplements and cosmetics (approximately 92% of total revenue). Revenue from household goods, fashion apparel, equipment, and other items accounts for about 8%.

The total tax contribution to the state budget from multi-level marketing companies reached 1,302 billion VND in the first half of 2025.

In the first eight months of 2025, the National Competition Commission conducted five inspection teams to assess compliance with legal regulations on multi-level marketing activities across five companies.

Based on the inspection results, the Commission issued administrative penalty decisions against five companies, totaling nearly 1.2 billion VND in fines.
