Nestled in Dong Anh District, Hanoi, the National Exhibition Center spans over 90 hectares, boasting an indoor exhibition area of 304,000 m² after Phase 2—ranking it among the world’s top 10 largest exhibition centers. It hosted the National Achievements Exhibition, celebrating 80 years of Vietnam’s independence and development.
The centerpiece is the colossal Kim Quy Steel Dome, inspired by the legendary Golden Turtle God of Co Loa Citadel. Weighing 24,000 tons, this 10-hectare structure soars 57 meters high, earning the title of the world’s largest dome. Named Kim Quy Exhibition Hall, it symbolizes Vietnam’s architectural prowess.
Constructed by Dai Dung Mechanical Construction and Trading JSC (Dai Dung Group) in just 10 months, the dome required over 1,000 engineers and workers operating 24/7. A 500-ton supercrane worked tirelessly alongside the installation of 100,000 high-strength steel joints and bolts, precision-guided by 3D laser scanning. Remarkably, the maximum assembly error was a mere 3 mm—a testament to unparalleled accuracy for such a massive project.
At the Vietnam Private Sector Economic Forum 2025 (VPSF 2025) on September 16, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh hailed the steel dome as a “quiet achievement.” He remarked, “Completing such a project in two years would already be swift, but reducing it to 10 months to deliver this masterpiece for recent celebrations is nothing short of extraordinary.”

The Kim Quy Exhibition Hall spans 10 hectares with a 57-meter peak, currently the world’s largest dome.
Founded in 1995 with just 20 workers in Tan Nhat Commune, Binh Chanh District, Ho Chi Minh City, Dai Dung Group owes its success to Chairman and CEO Trinh Tien Dung (b. 1969). A native of Yen Dinh Village, Thanh Hoa Province, Dung has steered the company’s growth for nearly three decades.
Today, the group operates six factory complexes covering 120 hectares, producing 300,000 tons of steel structures annually. Its workforce has expanded to 6,000, including nearly 1,000 engineers.
To date, Dai Dung has completed over 2,500 projects across 60+ countries, including demanding markets like the US, Europe, Australia, and Japan.

A landmark achievement came in 2017 with the Lusail Stadium project for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. Within a year, Dai Dung supplied 6,000 tons of steel for Lusail and 28,000 tons for the modular, weld-free Ras Abu Aboud Stadium (Stadium 974), achieving a precision error of just 2 mm.
This success placed Dai Dung on FIFA’s contractor list and attracted global construction giants. Unlike firms handling partial stages, Dai Dung manages the entire value chain—from design and manufacturing to transportation and installation.
Following this debut, Qatar entrusted Dai Dung with the North Field East gas project, the world’s largest.

Most recently, Dai Dung undertook the $700 million Misk Ilmi Museum project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Dai Dung’s portfolio includes the Phnom Penh International Airport (Cambodia), the Manyar Smelter copper mine plant (Indonesia), and Australia’s iconic Power House Parramatta. Their latest international venture is the $700 million Misk Ilmi Museum in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
For this project, Dai Dung supplied 7,000 tons of steel structures, designed all Tekla Structures drawings, and executed installation—a $52 million contract (approx. VND 1.3 trillion).
Domestically, Dai Dung has contributed to Long Thanh International Airport, Noi Bai Airport’s T2 Terminal, Vinh Airport, Tan Son Nhat Airport’s T3 Terminal, Hoa Phat Steel Complex, Nghi Son 2 Thermal Power Plant, Dalat Wool Spinning Factory, and more.
