On September 19, the Economic Police Department of Nghe An Provincial Police announced that they had coordinated with Traffic Police Team No. 4 (Traffic Police Department) and Market Management Team No. 3, Nghe An Market Management Department, to conduct simultaneous inspections of mooncake businesses across the province.
During the inspections, authorities discovered and penalized two establishments selling mooncakes with unclear origins.

Specifically, on the afternoon of September 17, authorities inspected a business in Truong Vinh Ward, Nghe An Province, owned by Le Thi Thu T. (born in 1994). During the inspection, they found 51 boxes and 25 packages containing various types of mooncakes.
Subsequently, at another business in Truong Vinh Ward, owned by Pham Thi Th. (born in 1989), authorities discovered 450 packages of medium and small-sized mooncakes with foreign labels, all of unknown origin.
The total number of mooncakes found at both establishments was 4,174. At the time of inspection, neither owner could provide invoices or documentation.
Nearly 4,200 mooncakes of unknown origin were about to be distributed to the market.
During questioning, both owners admitted to purchasing the mooncakes from unverified sources without invoices, intending to sell them at higher prices for profit.
The inspection team issued violation notices and confiscated all the mooncakes for further legal processing.
