On September 20th, the Ho Chi Minh City Police Investigation Agency initiated legal proceedings, pressed charges, and detained Hoang Huy Hung (born in 1994, from Thanh Hoa, residing in Thoi An Ward, District 12) along with his accomplices for “Producing and Trading Counterfeit Goods.”
Previously, at 3 PM on September 8th, an inter-agency inspection team under Plan No. 492, in collaboration with Thoi An Ward Police, inspected a warehouse on TA05 Street, Zone 26, Thoi An Ward. They discovered multiple individuals transferring unidentified chemicals into plastic containers and cans labeled with brands like O.K, D.N, and F.L, suspected of being counterfeit.

Products seized by authorities

At the scene, authorities confiscated over 500 boxes of O.K brand toilet cleaner, D.N and F.L brand detergents, along with thousands of bottles, labels, plastic caps, and carton boxes bearing these brand names, as well as 6 tanks of mixing solution.
Investigations revealed Hoang Huy Hung as the ringleader. Since July 2025, Hung had purchased chemicals, packaging, and labels via social media, then hired Nguyen Van Thua (born in 2001, from Can Tho), Vo Anh Huy (born in 2000, from Ho Chi Minh City), Huynh Ngoc Sang (born in 1999, from Vinh Long Province), and Hoang Duc Anh (born in 2004, from Thanh Hoa Province) to mix, package, and distribute counterfeit products. These products were sold online at prices 50% lower than genuine items and delivered via transport services.

Warehouse stocked with cartons ready for packaging
Forensic analysis confirmed that all seized products were not manufactured by the official brand owners.
Police advise consumers to purchase cleaning and detergent products from reputable stores to avoid counterfeit or low-quality goods. They also urge the public to report any suspected production or sale of counterfeit goods to protect their rights and community health.
