The agreement is considered a pivotal step in harnessing the potential of Hue City and the Chan May – Lang Co Economic Zone, aiming to create a heritage urban model integrated with modern industrial development. The signing representatives included Mr. Phan Quy Phuong, Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee; Mr. Truong Dinh Trung, Board Member of FUTA Group; and Mr. Dao Viet Anh, General Director of Kim Long Motor Hue.

Under the cooperation framework, the three parties agreed on a development roadmap focusing on three key areas. The first is urban real estate, including the Chan May Administrative and Financial Center Urban Area, the Lang Co – Lap An Lagoon urban-commercial complex, and infrastructure improvement projects. Additionally, they will develop affordable housing to meet the social welfare needs of the emerging large-scale automotive industrial hub.

The second focus is transportation infrastructure and public transit. Plans include studying the implementation of a monorail system connecting Hue City, Phu Bai, and Chan May – Lang Co, along the Huong River and heritage sites. Hue will also pilot electric buses for students and tourists, laying the groundwork for a green transportation network.

The third area is industry and manufacturing, featuring an automotive manufacturing complex, supporting industries, investments in green steel production, an LNG power plant, and the development of the deep-sea Chan May Port. The long-term goal is to position Chan May – Lang Co as a leading national hub for automotive production, components, and supporting industries, with a focus on exporting “Made in Vietnam” products.

Hue City People’s Committee pledged to provide legal support, streamline administrative procedures, and ensure a transparent investment environment aligned with the new development strategy.

This event is expected to attract significant investment in infrastructure, industry, and services, while reinforcing Hue’s vision as both a heritage, cultural, and tourism city and a regional economic center driven by green industry and sustainable development.
