According to the International Pepper Community (IPC), the global pepper export market remains stable.

At the close of the latest trading session, the price of Lampung black pepper from Indonesia remained unchanged from yesterday, currently at 7,027 USD/ton. White pepper prices in Indonesia also remained stable, at 9,957 USD/ton.

In Brazil, the price of Brazilian ASTA 570 black pepper held steady at 6,600 USD/ton, unchanged from yesterday.

Meanwhile, Malaysia’s pepper market continues to stabilize, with Malaysian ASTA black pepper currently priced at 9,700 USD/ton and ASTA white pepper at 12,900 USD/ton.

Domestic pepper prices are expected to remain high due to increased import demand for the year-end holiday season and limited supply.

One reason businesses hesitate to import cheap pepper for processing and re-export is the high tariffs imposed by the U.S. on this product. This increases costs and risks associated with proving the origin of the goods.

Over the next 6 to 12 months, pepper prices will depend on replanting efforts, the application of sustainable techniques, and compliance with international standards. If Vietnam strengthens its quality advantage and expands its export markets, pepper can maintain its strategic position with high and stable prices.
