Sao Mai Group Joint Stock Company (Stock Code: ASM, HoSE) has recently announced its plan to issue shares as dividends for the year 2024.

The company will issue over 37 million shares to pay dividends to shareholders at a ratio of 100:10, meaning shareholders holding 100 shares will receive 10 new shares. The final registration date for shareholders is October 8, 2025.

The total issuance value, based on the par value, is approximately VND 370.2 billion, sourced from the company’s undistributed after-tax profits as per the audited financial statements as of December 31, 2024.

Upon completion of this share issuance, the total outstanding shares of Sao Mai Group will increase from nearly 370.2 million to approximately 407.2 million shares, raising the charter capital from nearly VND 3,701.8 billion to around VND 4,072 billion.

Established in 1988 as the An Giang Province Architecture Joint Venture Company, Sao Mai Group primarily operates in the real estate sector, with core products and services including residential and land investments, aquaculture, tourism, and resort development.

Regarding business performance, the company’s consolidated financial report for the first half of 2025 shows a net revenue of nearly VND 6,069.4 billion, a slight 2.4% increase compared to the same period in 2024. After deducting the cost of goods sold, gross profit reached nearly VND 5,371.8 billion, up 3.1%.

After accounting for taxes and fees, Sao Mai Group reported a net profit of over VND 79.4 billion, a 56.3% decrease year-over-year.

As of June 30, 2025, the company’s total assets slightly decreased by VND 155 billion from the beginning of the year to over VND 22,701 billion. Fixed assets accounted for VND 6,676 billion, or 29.4% of total assets, while inventory stood at nearly VND 4,436.5 billion, representing 19.5% of total assets.

On the liabilities side, total payables were nearly VND 14,536.8 billion, down by VND 231 billion from the start of the year. Loans and financial leases constituted VND 13,141.7 billion, or 90.4% of total liabilities.
