Wind Turbine Project in Gia Lai Province
According to the certification, the project boasts a total investment of over 5.7 trillion VND, with a designed capacity of 143MW and an expected annual electricity output of 391.8 million kWh. The implementation timeline spans from Q3-2025 to Q3-2028, with a 50-year operational lifespan.
The project utilizes over 48 hectares for the construction of wind turbine foundations, underground cable systems, connection lines, transformer stations, internal roads, and an operational center.
Upon completion, the project will significantly contribute clean energy from renewable sources to the national grid, enhancing energy security and supporting socio-economic development while reducing transmission losses.
Additionally, it will create local employment opportunities, increase provincial revenue, and drive industrial growth, aligning with Gia Lai Province’s goal of achieving double-digit economic growth.
Investor Commitment and Provincial Oversight
The Gia Lai Department of Finance mandates that the investor strictly adheres to the project’s objectives, scale, timeline, and commitments outlined in the proposal. Any sale or transfer of the project is prohibited without written approval from the Provincial People’s Committee.
In late March 2024, billionaire Cyril Dissescou visited Gia Lai Province (formerly referred to as Binh Dinh Province) to explore investment opportunities, following an invitation from provincial leaders during the Binh Dinh Investment Promotion Conference 2024.
