During the meeting, Deputy Minister of Finance Do Thanh Trung reported that the ministry has finalized a draft report to the Politburo on resolving challenges faced by long-stalled projects, incorporating feedback and revisions.

Attendees unanimously supported the draft proposal and report to the Politburo, emphasizing its alignment with central directives on overcoming obstacles in prolonged projects. They commended the Steering Committee 751 for its proactive efforts, which have yielded significant initial results.

Addressing the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh highlighted the Politburo’s directive to urgently resolve issues hindering stalled projects. This initiative aims to boost economic activity, support businesses, and align with Resolution 68 on private sector development.

The Deputy Prime Minister stressed the government’s commitment to implementing the Politburo’s directives, which has led to substantial progress. These efforts have unlocked vast land and financial resources, injecting them into the economy.

To date, the government has addressed challenges for 1,154 projects, valued at approximately VND 675 trillion, and released hundreds of thousands of hectares of frozen land. “These projects are channeling immense resources to drive economic growth,” the government leader stated.

Citing anti-waste efforts, the Deputy Prime Minister noted the revival of two long-delayed projects: the second facilities of Bach Mai and Viet Duc hospitals, which had been idle for a decade. Their resumption has unlocked significant assets.

Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh clarified that resolving project challenges does not legitimize violations. In line with Politburo directives, all violations have been investigated, and offenders have been penalized according to the law.

The government’s proactive approach has not only supported businesses, preventing bankruptcies and safeguarding jobs, but also alleviated banking sector challenges, contributing to macroeconomic stability.

The Deputy Prime Minister noted that pilot initiatives under Politburo Conclusion 77 and National Assembly Resolution 170 have been successful. Localities have requested the expansion of these mechanisms, reflecting public and business expectations.

The government leader emphasized the importance of evaluating Conclusion 77 and Resolution 170 to broaden their application, meeting local demands and business community expectations.

Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh expressed confidence that with a meticulous, scientific, and cautious approach, and by engaging stakeholders, the initiative will successfully mobilize trillions of dollars for the economy by early next year.
