Vingroup’s $900 Million Project Approved in Ha Tinh Province

Vingroup's capital contribution stands at over 3.210 trillion VND, accounting for 15% of the total investment. An additional 18.190 trillion VND has been mobilized for the project. Scheduled to commence in December 2026, the project is expected to be completed by June 2027.

According to Ha Tinh Newspaper, Pham Van Tinh, Deputy Head of the Provincial Economic Zone Management Board, signed Decision No. 152/QD-KKT on September 20, 2025. This decision approves the investment policy and the investor for the “Project to Build Rental Workshops for Electric Vehicle Auxiliary Industry Production.” The project is undertaken by Vinhomes Ha Tinh Industrial Park Investment Joint Stock Company, a subsidiary of Vingroup.

The project will be implemented on land plots CN4-1 and CN4-2, as designated in the Detailed Planning Scheme for the Central Industrial Zone CN4-CN5 of Vung Ang Economic Zone, Vung Ang Ward, Ha Tinh Province.

The total investment capital for the project is expected to exceed 21.4 trillion VND. This includes the investor’s equity of over 3.21 trillion VND (15% of the total investment) and mobilized capital of more than 18.19 trillion VND.

The project will provide products and services, including infrastructure development, workshop construction, and auxiliary facilities for rental in the electric vehicle auxiliary industry. The total planned land area is over 132 hectares. The exact boundaries will be determined during the detailed planning approval and land procedures.

Construction of technical infrastructure and workshops is scheduled to begin in December 2026, with completion and commissioning expected by June 2027.

Electric Vehicle Auxiliary Industry Project

Three months ago, VinFast inaugurated its Electric Vehicle Manufacturing Plant in Vung Ang Economic Zone, Ky Anh Town, Ha Tinh.

This is VinFast’s second electric vehicle manufacturing facility in Vietnam and the fifth project in its global factory network.

Notably, VinFast Ha Tinh is recognized as one of the fastest-completed automobile factories globally, taking less than seven months for construction and machinery installation.

The factory spans 36 hectares and includes key functional areas such as body welding, painting, assembly, logistics, and quality control centers.

An auxiliary factory complex covering 24 hectares is also under construction, with plans for future expansion. VinFast Ha Tinh features state-of-the-art production lines, among the most advanced in Southeast Asia, with high automation and cutting-edge technology from leading global partners. The facility strictly adheres to international standards.

In its initial phase, the factory has a designed capacity of approximately 200,000 vehicles per year, equivalent to 35 vehicles per hour. This capacity will be expanded in the future to meet market demand.

The factory is expected to create around 6,000 direct jobs in its initial phase, with potential expansion to 15,000 jobs in the future.
