On the morning of September 23, ahead of the concluding seminar of the Ho Chi Minh City Industry and Trade Development Forum organized by Tuoi Tre Newspaper and the Department of Industry and Trade of Ho Chi Minh City, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, Nguyen Van Duoc, joined a breakfast meeting to listen to entrepreneurs and experts share their insights on the city’s development.

During the breakfast, entrepreneurs openly discussed challenges and proposed bold ideas and solutions to drive the growth of the city’s industrial and commercial sectors.

Beyond addressing obstacles, entrepreneurs and experts offered passionate strategies to develop an international financial center, advance high-tech manufacturing, logistics, transportation, and urban planning, aiming to create an efficient and sustainable production ecosystem.

After over an hour of listening, the Chairman expressed gratitude for the heartfelt contributions, addressed concerns directly, and noted all proposals for further action.

“I aspire to see Vietnamese businesses soar like ‘flocks of Vietnamese eagles,’ standing shoulder to shoulder with global leaders, and growing to match international standards,” shared Chairman Nguyen Van Duoc.

He also expressed a desire to hold monthly breakfast meetings with entrepreneurs and industry associations to gather more practical insights from businesses.

Under the theme “Ideas – Action – International Integration,” the concluding seminar of the Ho Chi Minh City Industry and Trade Development Forum summarized over two months of the forum’s initiatives.

Since its launch in July 2025, the organizing committee has hosted a series of seminars and discussions, gathering over 150 research papers and passionate proposals from domestic and international experts, as well as business leaders. The forum aims to position Ho Chi Minh City as a leading industrial, commercial, and service hub with global competitiveness.

According to Nguyen Van Duoc, the forum has united innovative ideas and dedicated experts to foster the city’s rapid and sustainable growth. He believes the new Ho Chi Minh City will emerge as a super metropolis, striving to rank among the top 100 most livable cities worldwide.
