Recently, a Vietnamese company specializing in motorcycle imports and distribution announced the arrival of the latest version of the Honda Stylo 160 scooter. This new iteration retains the same technical specifications as its predecessor, with the addition of a new color option: Royal Matte Blue.

According to the importer, the Honda Stylo 160 is sourced directly from Indonesia. Its design draws inspiration from European scooters, positioning it as a premium offering in the market.

The new Honda Stylo 160 introduces the Royal Matte Blue color.

The previous model was priced between 69.9 million VND and 76 million VND, depending on the variant. While the pricing for the new version hasn’t been disclosed, it’s expected to remain competitive.

In addition to the Royal Matte Blue, the Honda Stylo 160 retains its original six color options: Royal Matte Black, Royal Green, Royal Matte White, Glam Black, Glam Beige, and Glam Red.

Beyond its trendy color palette, the Honda Stylo 160’s design is a standout feature. Its front apron blends European styling with a unique horizontal arrangement of lights and faux vents, creating a cohesive and modern aesthetic.

The hexagonal headlights are rounded at the edges, balancing sportiness with a softer, classic appeal.

The side panels feature a faux air intake design that connects to the footrest, serving as a visual counterpoint to the rear rack for a balanced look.

The Honda Stylo 160 is available in two variants, differentiated by color and safety features. The premium variant features matte finishes and front ABS, while the standard version has glossy colors and CBS braking.

The Royal Matte Blue variant, part of the premium lineup, includes ABS for enhanced safety.

CBS (Combined Brake System) distributes braking force to both wheels, while ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) prevents wheel lockup during hard braking, especially on slippery surfaces.

Powered by a 160cc engine, the Honda Stylo 160 delivers 15.5 horsepower and 13.8 Nm of torque. Notably, its engine specifications, including compression ratio and piston dimensions, are identical to those of the Honda Vario 160, offering potential benefits for maintenance.

The scooter achieves a fuel efficiency of approximately 45 km/l, or 2.22 l/100 km, which is standard for its class in Vietnam.

The under-seat storage capacity is limited to 16.5 liters, which is smaller than many competitors in Vietnam.

All variants feature full LED lighting, a digital display, Smartkey, and front and rear disc brakes.

In terms of convenience, the Honda Stylo 160 offers 16.5 liters of under-seat storage, which is modest compared to other Honda scooters in Vietnam. However, it includes two front compartments: a small left-side compartment and a larger, lidded compartment near the floor with a phone charging port.

One potential drawback is the fuel tank’s location under the seat, requiring the seat to be opened for refueling. This design may also contribute to the reduced storage space.

Interestingly, due to Indonesian regulations requiring front license plates, imported models include a front plate mount. It remains unclear whether distributors will offer to remove this feature.
