On September 23rd in Ho Chi Minh City, Sun PhuQuoc Airways (SPA) – an airline invested and developed by Sun Group – officially launched its nationwide Agent Roadshow series themed “Rise Together – Where the Sun Elevates Your Journey.” This marks the first event in a series of roadshows set to continue in Da Nang (September 25th) and Hanoi (September 27th). The events aim to announce distribution policies, connect a nationwide agent network, and prepare for the official ticket sales launch on October 15th, followed by the inaugural commercial flight on November 1st, 2025.

The event attracted hundreds of travel agents, tour operators, and distribution partners, including industry leaders like Vietravel, Saigontourist, Hanoitourist, and online platforms such as Traveloka, Kkday, iVIVU. Payment and transportation companies like VNPAY, Momo, ZaloPay, and Mai Linh also participated. This significant turnout highlights the immense collaboration potential and underscores the appeal of a new airline brand entering its final preparations before market entry.

Launching Ticket Sales with a Distinct Development Strategy

Sun PhuQuoc Airways will begin ticket sales on October 15th

Initially, Sun PhuQuoc Airways will focus on a “spoke-hub” network, centering on Phu Quoc and directly connecting to key domestic tourism and economic hubs. Planned flight frequencies include: Hanoi – Ho Chi Minh City (8 flights/day), Hanoi – Phu Quoc (5 flights/day), Ho Chi Minh City – Phu Quoc (8 flights/day), Hanoi – Da Nang (3 flights/day), and other vital routes like Ho Chi Minh City – Van Don and Da Nang – Phu Quoc.

Starting in 2026, the airline plans to expand its international routes, offering direct flights from Phu Quoc to Seoul (South Korea), Taiwan (China), Guangzhou, Beijing, Singapore, and Hong Kong. By 2027, the network will further extend to India, the Middle East, Russia, and Europe, solidifying Phu Quoc’s position as a global aviation and tourism hub.

Sun PhuQuoc Airways representatives discuss the brand at the Agent Roadshow

A Sun PhuQuoc Airways representative stated, “October 15th marks a significant milestone as we officially begin ticket sales. On November 1st, our first commercial flights will take off, transporting passengers to one of the world’s most beautiful islands. We aim for Sun PhuQuoc Airways to create a positive first impression from the moment customers book their tickets, serving as the gateway to a seamless travel experience within the Sun Group ecosystem.”

Modern Fleet – A Solid Foundation

According to the development strategy, Sun PhuQuoc Airways will operate 7 aircraft in 2025, including A320CEO, A321CEO, and A321NEO models. By 2026, the fleet is expected to expand by 8 additional aircraft to support international route expansion. In 2031, 10 wide-body Boeing aircraft will join the fleet, enabling long-haul intercontinental flights.

The accelerated aircraft delivery schedule demonstrates Sun Group’s strong commitment and long-term vision in the aviation sector. This foundation enables Sun PhuQuoc Airways to execute its strategy, positioning Phu Quoc as a leading aviation and tourism destination alongside regional hubs like Bali (Indonesia), Phuket (Thailand), and the Maldives.

Agent Policy – A Strategic Bridge

During the roadshow, Sun PhuQuoc Airways announced its distribution policies, emphasizing the critical role of agent partners. These partners are not just primary distribution channels but also strategic bridges delivering premium travel experiences to passengers. This approach helps the airline quickly establish market presence and build trust.

In addition to flight tickets, Sun PhuQuoc Airways introduced comprehensive travel packages. SPA passengers will enjoy exclusive benefits, including discounts on stays at 5-star resorts, access to Sun World attractions, and experiences like shows, shopping, and dining within the Sun Group ecosystem – an unparalleled offering in Vietnam. This integration not only enhances the travel experience but also optimizes overall costs. Instead of booking services separately, travelers can enjoy a Phu Quoc vacation at a more affordable price, thanks to special discounts applied to every aspect of their journey. This unique value proposition sets Sun PhuQuoc Airways apart, transforming “fly-stay-play” into a seamless and cost-effective experience. Agents benefit from this approach by offering attractive products that add value for customers and maximize sales opportunities.

A representative from Sun Hospitality & Entertainment (S.H.E), a Sun Group member, shared, “What sets Sun PhuQuoc Airways apart is that we don’t just sell flights – we sell complete journeys. When agents sell Sun PhuQuoc Airways tickets, they’re offering customers a full vacation experience, from takeoff to every moment on the ground.”

The 2025 Agent Roadshow, “Where the Sun Elevates Your Journey,” serves as both an informational platform and the beginning of a strong partnership between Sun PhuQuoc Airways and its nationwide agent network. Through this event, the airline demonstrates its thorough preparation and extends a sincere invitation to partners – the key to bringing the brand closer to customers. This foundation will enable Sun PhuQuoc Airways and its distribution network to achieve success, making Phu Quoc accessible to all travelers and realizing the vision of establishing the island as a world-class destination.
