Italia Mistero: A Special Concert in Hanoi
For the first time in Hanoi, audiences will experience two extraordinary nights of Italia Mistero, featuring the Teatro Massimo Orchestra—a renowned artistic symbol of Palermo, Italy. This prestigious ensemble will bring to life the romantic and dramatic essence of 19th-century Italian opera.
Since its inauguration in 1897, the Teatro Massimo has been the heart of Palermo’s artistic life. Established as a permanent ensemble in 1960, the orchestra quickly gained acclaim for its excellence in both opera and symphonic performances, gracing the theater’s seasons and prestigious stages worldwide.
Over the decades, the Teatro Massimo Orchestra has collaborated with legendary figures such as Riccardo Muti, Claudio Abbado, Zubin Mehta, and Plácido Domingo. Their international footprint includes tours to Japan, Oman, and numerous high-profile collaborations.

In recent seasons, the orchestra has reinforced its stature with special programs featuring Verdi, Einaudi, and other celebrated conductors. Teatro Massimo remains a cornerstone of Palermo’s musical life, promoting Italian and international culture.
At Hồ Gươm Theatre, this esteemed Italian orchestra will perform timeless masterpieces by Rossini, Verdi, Donizetti, and Bellini. From Rossini’s vibrant Sinfonia to Verdi’s poignant La traviata, and the enchanting melodies of L’elisir d’amore and Norma’s Casta diva, audiences will immerse in the pinnacle of 19th-century Italian opera.
Leading the concert is Alberto Maniaci, a rising Italian talent and protégé of the legendary Riccardo Muti. His precise yet emotionally rich conducting style promises an authentically Italian evening—passionate, dramatic, and captivating.
Bridging Italian Culture with Vietnamese Audiences
