Singer Ung Hoang Phuc, whose real name is Nguyen Quoc Thanh (born in 1981), rose to fame as a member of the renowned 1088 band. After leaving the group, he joined We Pro Entertainment and quickly became a “heartthrob” for the 8X and 9X generations with a string of hits like: “Hua That Nhieu,” “Tha Rang Nhu The,” “Toi Di Tim Toi,” “Nguoi Ta Noi,” “Noi Nho,” and more.
At the peak of his career, Ung Hoang Phuc consistently released numerous albums and was one of the best-selling V-pop artists in the Vietnamese music market.
Currently, the singer boasts a YouTube channel with 1.9 million subscribers and a TikTok account with 1.4 million followers (as of September 23, 2025).

Beyond his artistic endeavors, Ung Hoang Phuc has ventured into business, investing and representing several companies.
One notable venture is Umedia (Ung Hoang Phuc Media LLC), established on June 3, 2013, specializing in film production, video, and television programming.
Prior to June 2, 2021, Umedia had a charter capital of 4.5 billion VND, with two shareholders: Nguyen Quoc Thanh contributing 3.6 billion VND (80%) and Nguyen Quoc Hung contributing 900 million VND (20%).
However, according to the business registration update on June 2, 2021, Nguyen Quoc Hung’s shares were transferred to Vo Thi Cuong.
As of the latest update on April 19, 2022, Umedia increased its charter capital to 14 billion VND, with the shareholding structure remaining unchanged.
At this time, Nguyen Quoc Thanh (Ung Hoang Phuc) serves as the Chairman of the Members’ Council and the Legal Representative of Umedia.
Additionally, Ung Hoang Phuc has invested in another company, Diep Tam Huong LLC, managed by Vo Thi Cuong (born in 1986) as the Director and Legal Representative.
Established on May 15, 2025, with a charter capital of 2 billion VND, Nguyen Quoc Thanh holds 70% (1.4 billion VND) and Vo Thi Cuong holds 30% (600 million VND).
The company’s primary business activities include wholesale of fabrics, clothing, footwear, as well as wholesale of food, household goods, pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, and cosmetics.
Beyond their joint investments, Ung Hoang Phuc and Vo Thi Cuong have also co-signed a loan agreement with Vietnam Prosperity Joint Stock Commercial Bank (VPBank) – Ho Chi Minh City Branch.
On October 15, 2021, Nguyen Quoc Thanh and Vo Thi Cuong pledged their rights to payment claims, refunds, compensation, and insurance benefits arising from Vo Thi Cuong’s agreement with NoVaReal Corporation regarding the purchase of a semi-detached villa (NWP.5.6-3.47) in the Ocean Valley Tourism Complex, Tien Thanh Commune, Phan Thiet City, Binh Thuan Province (now Tien Thanh Ward, Lam Dong Province) as collateral at VPBank – Ho Chi Minh City Branch.
