Xingguang 730: A Versatile MPV with Multiple Powertrain Options
Built on Wuling’s new energy platform and powered by the proprietary “Sky-Spirit-God” technology, the Xingguang 730 offers three powertrain options: traditional gasoline, plug-in hybrid (PHEV), and pure electric (EV). The exterior design varies by variant, with gasoline and PHEV models featuring a bold large grille, while the EV adopts a minimalist aesthetic, removing the main grille in favor of a sleek black panel. Dual LED strips and aerodynamic side vents enhance its modern appeal across all versions.
Measuring 4,910 mm in length, 1,850 mm in width, 1,770 mm in height, and a 2,910 mm wheelbase, the interior features a 7-seat layout (2+2+3). The second-row executive seats offer adjustable recline for premium comfort.
Advanced Features and Performance Specifications
The cabin includes a floating center display with physical controls and wireless phone charging. Powertrain details include a 1.5T gasoline engine (130 kW/174 hp), a PHEV combining a 1.5L engine (78 kW) with an electric motor, and a pure EV variant with a 100 kW (134 hp) motor. EV models offer 54.5 kWh or 60 kWh battery options, delivering CLTC ranges of 450 km and 500 km, respectively.
Official pricing remains undisclosed, but CarNewsChina estimates a starting price around USD 15,000, positioning it as China’s most affordable MPV.
