Binance Invited to Establish Headquarters in Da Nang, Collaborate on Crypto Asset Exchange Development

On this occasion, the Deputy Prime Minister extended an invitation to Mr. Richard Teng, CEO of Binance and former CEO of Abu Dhabi Global Market, to serve as a senior advisor in the development and establishment of Vietnam's International Financial Center.

During his official visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh held significant meetings with Binance and Bybit, two leading companies in the digital asset sector.

At the meeting with the CEO of Binance, the world’s premier digital asset trading platform, the Deputy Prime Minister expressed his desire for Binance to establish an office in Da Nang and collaborate closely with Vietnam’s International Financial Center to develop a cryptocurrency exchange.

On this occasion, the Deputy Prime Minister invited Mr. Richard Teng, CEO of Binance and former CEO of Abu Dhabi Global Market, to serve as a senior advisor for the development of Vietnam’s International Financial Center.

Mr. Richard Teng, on behalf of Binance, agreed to share expertise, closely cooperate in developing Vietnam’s cryptocurrency market, and provide insights into building an International Financial Center based on Abu Dhabi’s experience.

During the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister witnessed the signing of an MOU between Binance and the Da Nang People’s Committee for the development of blockchain technology and digital assets.

At the meeting with Bybit, a company with over 2.5 million users in Vietnam (approximately 15% of the market) and the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the UAE, Bybit’s CEO welcomed Vietnam’s pilot program for digital assets and the establishment of an International Financial Center.

Bybit affirmed its readiness to support the development of a legal framework, share international expertise, and contribute to workforce training in Vietnam.

The Deputy Prime Minister congratulated Bybit on its success, emphasizing the importance of developing a legal framework for digital assets, and requested the company’s continued partnership with Vietnam in this endeavor.
