Diesel prices have dropped by 47 VND/liter, not surpassing 18,658 VND/liter. Kerosene prices have risen by 84 VND/liter, reaching up to 18,628 VND/liter, while mazut prices have increased by 79 VND/kg, not exceeding 15,209 VND/kg.
During this adjustment period, the regulatory body continues to neither allocate nor utilize the price stabilization fund for petroleum products.

The global petroleum market during this adjustment period (September 18–24, 2025) has been influenced by key factors such as increased oil exports by OPEC+, heightened geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, and the ongoing military conflict between Russia and Ukraine, with Ukraine continuing to target Russian energy facilities.
These factors have caused global petroleum prices to fluctuate over the past few days, varying by product.
The average global prices of petroleum products between the price adjustment periods of September 18 and September 25, 2025, are as follows: 78.604 USD/barrel for RON92 gasoline used to blend E5 RON92 (a decrease of 1.950 USD/barrel, equivalent to a 2.42% drop); 80.474 USD/barrel for RON95 gasoline (a decrease of 2.202 USD/barrel, equivalent to a 2.66% drop); 87.274 USD/barrel for kerosene (an increase of 0.562 USD/barrel, equivalent to a 0.65% rise); 87.902 USD/barrel for 0.05S diesel (a decrease of 0.176 USD/barrel, equivalent to a 0.20% drop); and 404.720 USD/ton for 180CST 3.5S mazut (an increase of 3.134 USD/ton, equivalent to a 0.78% rise).
Previously, during the adjustment on the afternoon of September 18th, E5 RON92 gasoline prices increased by 230 VND/liter, not exceeding 19,986 VND/liter. RON95 gasoline prices rose by 208 VND/liter, capping at 20,608 VND/liter.
Diesel prices increased by 62 VND/liter, not surpassing 18,705 VND/liter. Kerosene prices rose by 176 VND/liter, reaching up to 18,544 VND/liter, and mazut prices increased by 40 VND/kg, not exceeding 15,130 VND/kg.
Since the beginning of the year, domestic gasoline prices have undergone 38 adjustments, including 15 decreases, 17 increases, and 6 mixed adjustments.
RON 95 Gasoline Price Surges to 20,608 VND per Liter
At 3:00 PM on September 18th, the Ministries of Industry and Trade and Finance jointly announced an increase in fuel prices, ranging from 40 to 230 VND per liter or kilogram, depending on the type of fuel.
Fuel Prices Surge: A Mixed Bag for Oil-Based Commodities
The global market dynamics have led to a mixed bag of fortunes for domestic fuel prices on August 7th. Gasoline prices witnessed an upward trend, with E5RON92 and RON95-III registering increases of 207 VND and 234 VND per liter, respectively. Conversely, oil prices took a downturn, with reductions ranging from 54 VND to 268 VND per liter, except for 180CST 3.5S which saw a marginal increase of 114 VND per kg compared to the current base price.
