Leading Chinese Tech Conglomerate Strengthens Partnerships in Bac Ninh, Creating Over 60,000 Jobs

The enterprise's total investment in the province has reached an impressive 20% of the entire corporation's revenue.

The People’s Committee of Bac Ninh Province recently hosted a meeting with a delegation from Goertek Group (China), led by Chairman Jiang Bin.

During the meeting, the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee praised Goertek Group as an exemplary investor and enterprise. The group excels not only in attracting high-quality human resources but also in business operations, services, technological development, social welfare, and employee well-being. Their contributions significantly enhance Bac Ninh’s socio-economic development.

The Chairman urged Goertek Group to explore expanded investment and collaboration opportunities, enabling Vietnamese vendors to partner with the group and participate in its production and supply chains.

Bac Ninh is committed to providing the most favorable conditions and promptly addressing any challenges to ensure stable and long-term business operations.

Founded in 2001, Goertek Group is a global technology leader, specializing in the production of electronic products, components, and smart wearable devices. Headquartered in China, the group operates globally with over 30 manufacturing plants across multiple countries.

Goertek Group began investing in Bac Ninh in 2013 with the establishment of Goertek Vina Co., Ltd. in Que Vo Industrial Park. The company’s chartered capital exceeds 847 billion VND, contributed by Goertek (Korea) Technology (1.964%) and GoerTek Corporation (98.036%).

By 2025, Goertek Group had established four companies in Bac Ninh, all located in industrial parks managed by Kinh Bac Corporation (KBC). The total registered investment capital exceeds 1.3 billion USD, including two projects in Que Vo IP with 625 million USD and two in Nam Son – Hap Linh IP with 690 million USD.

Goertek is one of the top three FDI companies manufacturing for Apple in Vietnam, alongside Foxconn and Luxshare. While Foxconn is known for assembling iPhones, Goertek and Luxshare are prominent in producing AirPods for Apple.

In addition to AirPods, Goertek manufactures various electronic devices such as headphones, virtual reality glasses, drones, and phone speakers. The group has also expanded into producing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

In a previous statement, Chairman Jiang Bin revealed that Goertek’s total investment in Bac Ninh accounts for 20% of the group’s total revenue. After a decade of investment in Vietnam, generating trillions of VND annually, Goertek plans to invest 3-4 times its current level in Bac Ninh over the next 5-10 years to expand production and meet market demands.

Goertek’s projects have created jobs for over 60,000 workers in Bac Ninh, with a focus on hiring high-quality local labor. Employing more than 60,000 workers, Goertek Vietnam is one of the largest employers in Bac Ninh Province.
