In Vietnam’s motorcycle market, the trend toward environmentally friendly consumption is becoming increasingly evident. Alongside electric models, manufacturers are also focusing on improving fuel efficiency in internal combustion engine vehicles.

Among the current offerings, the Honda Wave RSX FI 110 stands out. Its latest iteration features a refined engine, delivering enhanced fuel efficiency—a notable improvement over its predecessor.

The latest version of the Honda Wave RSX FI 110 was launched approximately two months ago.

The new Honda Wave RSX FI 110 retains its 110cc engine but incorporates enhancements through the PGM-FI electronic fuel injection system. This results in a remarkable fuel consumption rate of just 1.56 liters per 100 km, a significant reduction compared to earlier models.

The engine maintains its 4-stroke, 110cc configuration, delivering a maximum power output of 6.46 kW (8.66 hp) at 7,500 rpm and peak torque of 8.7 Nm at 6,000 rpm. These specifications ensure stable performance for daily commuting needs.

Engine refinements contribute to reduced fuel consumption.

Beyond its fuel-efficient engine, Honda introduces two new racing-inspired decal options. These enhancements boost visual appeal without significantly altering the familiar overall design. The motorcycle continues to feature always-on headlights, a 4-in-1 multifunction key, and under-seat storage.

The Wave RSX FI is available in three variants: Standard (spoke wheels, drum brakes), Special (front disc brake), and Sport (cast wheels, disc brakes with red brake levers). Starting at approximately VND 22 million, it offers diverse options within the entry-level commuter segment.

Variant Suggested Retail Price
Standard VND 22,032,000
Special VND 23,602,909
Sport VND 25,566,545

Always-on headlights enhance safety.

Honda’s introduction of this refined engine variant aligns with Vietnam’s increasingly stringent emission standards. Euro 3 regulations are already mandatory for new motorcycle production, with expectations for even higher standards in the future. This makes fuel efficiency not just an economic consideration for consumers but also a critical factor in environmental compliance.

The launch of the new Honda Wave RSX FI 110 underscores the manufacturer’s commitment to innovating within the entry-level commuter segment. By prioritizing fuel efficiency and emission standards, Honda addresses both operational cost concerns and environmental impact—key considerations for today’s discerning consumers.
