Wuyang Honda, a joint venture between Honda and a Chinese partner, has unveiled the Vintage edition of the Honda CGX150. This classic-style variant of the CGX150 manual motorcycle has been available in Vietnam through private importers since 2024.

Designed to appeal to enthusiasts of vintage aesthetics, the CGX150 Vintage is expected to captivate both young riders and retro-style motorcycle aficionados.

The Honda CGX150 Vintage features a “Vintage” decal on the fuel tank to distinguish it from other variants.

Compared to the standard model, the Honda CGX150 Vintage includes several classic-inspired accessories. These enhancements include a smoked windshield, leather saddlebags, a raised handlebar for a more comfortable riding posture, and a new deep blue color option alongside existing shades.

The technical specifications, including the engine, chassis, suspension, and braking system, remain unchanged from the CGX150 models currently available in Vietnam. Notably, the expected import price remains at 69 million VND, consistent with the initial batch but now includes the vintage accessory package as standard.

Powering the Honda CGX150 Vintage is a 149cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. This engine delivers a maximum power output of approximately 12 horsepower and a peak torque of 12.5 Nm.

Safety features include front and rear disc brakes with a dual-channel ABS system, a standout feature in its price segment. The bike is equipped with telescopic front forks, dual rear shock absorbers, full LED lighting, and a combined digital-analog instrument cluster. With a 10-liter fuel tank, it achieves an average fuel efficiency of 1.9 liters per 100 km, suitable for both daily commuting and long-distance travel.

The standard version can also be equipped with optional accessories like a windshield and saddlebags.

The classic manual motorcycle market in Vietnam is thriving, with a wide range of options from Japanese, European, and Chinese brands. Demand is particularly strong among young consumers seeking a bike that combines daily practicality with personal style.

Popular models like the Yamaha XSR155 and Kawasaki W175 are already well-received. The introduction of the Honda CGX150 by private importers adds further excitement to this segment.

The Honda CGX150 Vintage stands out with its unchanged price of 69 million VND, now inclusive of the vintage accessory package, offering a perfect blend of functionality and aesthetic appeal. The user-friendly 150cc engine is ideal for both novice and experienced riders, while the dual-channel ABS system is a rare find in this price range. Combined with its modern classic design and excellent fuel efficiency, this bike is a strong contender in its segment.
