On September 27, 2025, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism (MCST) hosted the Vietnam Tourism Awards Ceremony.
Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh attended and delivered a speech at the event. On this occasion, the organizing committee honored 113 outstanding businesses and units in the tourism sector.
In his speech, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh emphasized that tourism is not merely an economic sector but an industry of experiences and emotions, an art of connection, and a pathway to showcase captivating destinations, scenic landscapes, and historical and cultural landmarks.
The Party and State have identified tourism as a key economic sector, a “smoke-free industry” that provides livelihoods for millions, fosters cultural exchange, builds friendships, and promotes Vietnam as a friendly, hospitable, and culturally rich nation to the international community.

According to the Deputy Prime Minister, Vietnam has turned aspirations into reality and potential into strength, earning numerous international accolades such as “World’s Leading Heritage Destination” and “Asia’s Leading Culinary Destination,” along with impressive figures of tens of millions of international visitors and hundreds of millions of domestic tourists annually.
These achievements have firmly positioned Vietnam’s tourism brand on the global map.
“The 2025 Vietnam Tourism Awards Ceremony is a moment to honor Vietnam’s ‘Brand Ambassadors,’ affirming the pivotal role of tourism businesses in the nation’s economic development and significantly enhancing Vietnam’s global standing. You have transformed intelligence and smiles into value, experiences into brands, and potential into strength,” Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh stressed.
Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh urged the tourism sector to continue accelerating, innovating, and embracing digital transformation to build a smart tourism ecosystem that offers visitors the best possible experience. He also called for the development of green tourism, community-based tourism, and the integration of night economies and circular economies, ensuring that every journey contributes to the nation’s economic growth.
He emphasized the need to develop and elevate a tourism product system that is deeply rooted in national identity, unique, creative, professional, and of exceptional quality, solidifying Vietnam as an attractive, safe, civilized, and friendly destination.
This is not solely the responsibility of the tourism sector but also of the business community and every citizen.
The Vietnam Tourism Awards are organized under the direction of the MCST, with the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism and the Culture Newspaper responsible for implementation.
This annual event aims to honor businesses, organizations, and training institutions, as well as media outlets that have made significant contributions to the industry’s development.
It inspires the ambition to establish Vietnamese tourism as a leading economic sector with regional and international prominence.
In his opening remarks, Deputy Minister of MCST Ho An Phong stated that the Vietnam Tourism Awards foster a spirit of competition within the industry, driving improvements in service quality, product diversification, and professionalization of business activities, ultimately building the national tourism brand.
Deputy Minister Ho An Phong highlighted Vietnam’s abundant tourism potential, from its rich natural landscapes and distinctive attractions to its historical traditions, cultural diversity, and warm-hearted people.
With the close guidance of the Party and State, along with the efforts of local authorities and businesses, Vietnam’s tourism sector has consistently grown in both visitor numbers and service quality.
According to the organizing committee, this year’s Vietnam Tourism Awards honored units across 11 categories with 18 titles.
These included the Top 10 international travel companies bringing tourists to Vietnam, Top 10 domestic travel companies, and Top 10 international travel companies sending tourists abroad. In the tourism transportation category, awards were given to the best companies in road, waterway, airline, and railway services for tourists.

In the accommodation category, awards were presented to the Top 10 five-star and four-star hotels, as well as the best green hotels. Additionally, the ceremony recognized event venues, dining establishments, wellness spas, community tourism sites, creative tourism products, golf courses, media organizations, and tourism training institutions.
In 2025, out of 209 submissions, the Awards Council selected 113 outstanding businesses and units across 11 categories with 18 titles for recognition. The award structure comprehensively reflects the diverse development of the industry, spanning travel, accommodation, transportation, dining, wellness, training, media, and product innovation.
