As planned, the inter-port road spans over 15km, connecting Ong Keo Industrial Zone to Viet Thuan Thanh Port. In Phase 1, an 8.8km segment will be developed in two sections: the first, 6.9km long with 8 lanes, and the second, 1.9km long with 4 lanes. The project also includes the construction of five bridges along the route.

Phase 1 of the Inter-Port Road Construction Project, located in Dai Phuoc Commune, Dong Nai Province, has a total investment of over 2.6 trillion VND.

While the contract stipulates a 36-month construction period, the joint contractors have pledged to complete the project within 30 months, with operations expected to commence by late March 2028.

Addressing the ceremony, Chairman Vo Tan Duc highlighted the project’s significance in linking the road network to seaports in Dai Phuoc Commune. This route not only facilitates investment and port operations but also leverages the upcoming Long Thanh International Airport for development.

Additionally, the road positions the region to capitalize on the forthcoming Long Thanh International Airport, fostering the growth of a port-logistics-industrial zone-riverside urban corridor. This initiative aims to propel Dong Nai’s economy, solidifying its role in the Southern Key Economic Region.

To ensure timely and quality execution, Chairman Duc directed the Project Management Unit 6 to maximize workforce and equipment deployment, emphasizing safe and efficient construction. He also urged the adoption of digital transformation in project management and oversight, while instructing the Provincial Land Development Center to expedite compensation and land clearance.

Expressing gratitude to local residents for their land contributions, Mr. Duc encouraged continued cooperation for the project’s swift completion, benefiting both the community and local economic growth.
