On September 27, the Da Nang City Police Department announced that over the past few days, the Economic Police Division, in collaboration with local authorities, conducted inspections and took action against multiple establishments producing and selling mooncakes in violation of food safety regulations.

Under the direct supervision of Major General Nguyen Huu Hop, Director of Da Nang City Police, the Economic Police Division implemented comprehensive measures over three days (September 23-25). Through meticulous information gathering and collaboration with relevant units, they successfully identified and addressed four severe violations.
On September 23, the Economic Police Division inspected C.M.T. Co., Ltd. (Thang Dien Commune, Da Nang City). The company failed to provide invoices or documentation proving the origin of over 4,000 mooncakes, product self-declaration records, or ingredient source invoices.

Additionally, authorities discovered over 6,000 expired confectionery products at the facility.
On the same day, the Economic Police Division found nearly 500 assorted mooncakes at M.H. Bakery (Thang Dien Commune) without proper product self-declaration or ingredient source documentation.

On September 24, the Economic Police Division inspected H.S. Bakery (Thang Binh Commune, Da Nang City), uncovering nearly 5,000 baked mooncakes without quality declarations or ingredient source documentation. The facility was also found to be in violation of wastewater treatment regulations.
On September 25, the Economic Police Division inspected K.A.P. Co., Ltd. (Ban Thach Ward, Da Nang City), discovering approximately 500 assorted mooncakes in production and distribution without proper product self-declaration or ingredient source documentation.
In just three days, the Economic Police Division prevented the distribution of nearly 10,000 non-compliant mooncakes and over 6,000 expired confectionery products, significantly contributing to consumer health protection and market integrity during the Mid-Autumn Festival.
