On September 28th, the Office of the People’s Committee of Can Tho City announced that Chairman Tran Van Lau has signed a decision to implement the plan “Deployment of Receiving and Returning Administrative Procedure Results Regardless of Administrative Boundaries.”

Breakthrough in Public Services

The plan aims to facilitate organizations and individuals in submitting documents and receiving administrative procedure results at any Public Administrative Service Center, regardless of the administrative level, residence, headquarters location, or the issuing authority of their documents.

My Huong Commune, Can Tho City, provides mobile administrative procedure services for residents on weekends.

Additionally, this initiative reduces travel time, saves costs, and enhances convenience for organizations and individuals in submitting their documents.

The plan will be implemented starting October 1st. Organizations and individuals requiring administrative procedure services can submit their documents at the City Public Administrative Service Center or Commune/Ward Centers, online via the National Public Service Portal, or through public postal services.

The Public Administrative Service Center will process and forward documents to the appropriate authorities, then return the results to the requesting organizations or individuals upon completion.

Administrative Procedures: Breaking Down Geographical Barriers!

Ms. Le Xuan Hoa, Deputy Chief of the Office of the People’s Committee of Can Tho City and Director of the City Public Administrative Service Center, stated that 1,320 administrative procedures can be processed regardless of administrative boundaries. These procedures span various fields, including: Beliefs and Religion; Healthcare; Internal Affairs; Science and Technology; Education and Training; Culture, Sports, and Tourism; Land Management; Justice; Finance; Agriculture and Environment.

“One of the key updates from October 1st is that residents and organizations can submit documents in one commune and receive results in another commune or ward as requested. The city aims to achieve 100% administrative procedure processing without geographical restrictions by the end of this year,” Ms. Hoa added.

Ms. Hoa emphasized that a seamless administrative procedure information system, integrated with specialized information systems, is essential for efficient non-geographical document processing. This ensures officials have sufficient data for effective handling.
