The Hue City Traffic Police Department has reported the interception of a tractor-trailer transporting approximately 30 tons of food products with unclear origins and lacking proper food safety certifications.
Earlier, during a routine weight inspection at Km 792 on National Highway 1A (Phong Dien Ward), a traffic police team identified a tractor-trailer with license plates 38H-032.45 towing a semi-trailer 50RM-070.91 as a potential violator.
Upon inspection, authorities confirmed the vehicle was overloaded by 10%-30% beyond its design capacity and exceeded the permissible axle load for bridges and roads by 27.92%.

The cargo included approximately 30 tons of animal products such as pork, goat meat, and chicken feet, but lacked veterinary health certificates, food safety certifications, invoices, or any documentation proving their origin. The task force issued a citation and handed over the vehicle and goods to the Hue City Economic Police Department for further investigation and legal action.
Just over a month ago, Hue City Traffic Police intercepted another truck carrying nearly 30 tons of sugar with unknown origins, valued at approximately 600 million VND. At the time, the driver, Pham Tan Tam (born 1993, residing in Hoai Nhon Dong Ward, Gia Lai Province), failed to provide any documentation verifying the sugar’s origin.
