On September 27th, in Tô Hiệu Ward (Sơn La City), Sơn La Province hosted the inauguration ceremony for Phạm Văn Đồng Road, Traffic Route No. 4 in the Northwest Square area, and the groundbreaking of the sidewalk upgrade project for central streets. Details include:
– Phạm Văn Đồng Road Construction Project spans 820 meters with a 16.5-meter-wide foundation, a 10.5-meter-wide roadway, and 3-meter-wide sidewalks on both sides, totaling over 29 billion VND in investment.
– Traffic Route No. 4 in Northwest Square, approved by Sơn La Provincial People’s Committee, has a total investment of over 13 billion VND, including nearly 9 billion VND for land clearance and resettlement. The 150-meter route connects Route No. 3 to Nguyễn Văn Linh Street, featuring asphalt pavement, sidewalks, greenery, lighting, drainage, technical infrastructure, and synchronized traffic safety measures.
– Additionally, Sơn La Province launched the upgrade of sidewalks on several streets in Tô Hiệu, Chiềng Cơi, and Chiềng Sinh Wards, including Trần Đăng Ninh, Lê Duẩn, Cách mạng Tháng Tám, Thanh niên, and Lê Đức Thọ Streets. With a combined length of nearly 28 km, the total investment exceeds 108 billion VND.
To expedite construction and ensure timely operation, the project is divided into four construction packages, openly tendered on the National Bidding Network. Investment preparation and contractor selection are now complete.
These new developments not only enhance urban aesthetics and improve landscapes but also alleviate traffic congestion, drive socioeconomic growth, and elevate the quality of life for residents.
