Hnam Mobile, a renowned retail chain specializing in authentic mobile phones, has stunned the market by announcing the cessation of its operations across all outlets starting October 1, 2025. With over two decades of presence in Ho Chi Minh City, this decision marks a significant shift in the retail landscape.
In an official statement released on their website and social media channels, the company cited “strategic business realignment and challenging market conditions” as the primary reasons for this move. Hnam Mobile assures customers that all warranty claims will be honored in accordance with the original terms and conditions provided at the time of purchase.
Founded in 2006 with its inaugural store on Tran Quang Khai Street in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, Hnam Mobile was a pioneer in Vietnam’s e-commerce sector. The launch of their online platform, hnammobile.com, revolutionized the way consumers purchased mobile phones and accessories, setting a new standard in the industry.
Taglines such as “Integrity is Our Lifeline” and “Always Leading in Price” became synonymous with the brand, distinguishing Hnam Mobile in the competitive retail market of Saigon.
In 2010, the establishment of Sao Viet Mobile Services Trading LLC marked a pivotal expansion phase. Within a year, the company inaugurated four flagship stores in prime locations across Ho Chi Minh City, solidifying its position as a leading retailer of genuine mobile devices with competitive pricing.
At its peak, Hnam Mobile operated 16 retail outlets and 2 service centers, catering to millions of customers in Ho Chi Minh City and surrounding areas. The product range expanded beyond smartphones and accessories to include tablets, laptops, smartwatches, and other high-end tech gadgets.
The brand forged partnerships with industry giants such as Samsung, Asus, Lenovo, and Oppo, earning accolades including “Outstanding Dealer” from Lenovo and Oppo, “Top Retailer” from Samsung (2014), “Exceptional Service Support” from Asus (2014), and “Top Seller” from Lazada in 2014. Notably, Samsung honored Hnam Mobile as the “Best Strategic Retail Partner – #1 Position” in 2015.
