Following closely are other notable names in the real estate sector, including Gia Cu Investment and Development One Member Co., Ltd. (396 billion VND) and Yen Khanh Group JSC (246 billion VND). Notably, both individuals’ registered addresses are linked to the 5-star Sheraton Saigon Hotel (88 Dong Khoi and 80 Dong Du, Ben Nghe Ward, District 1).

The tax debt “storm” has also hit publicly listed companies. Specifically, NRC Group JSC (Netland, HNX: NRC) is named with a tax debt of over 126 billion VND. Another company, Lilama 45.3 JSC (UPCoM: L43), has recorded a debt of nearly 2.5 billion VND.

From Fashion and Entertainment to Van Thinh Phat-Related Companies

The list of non-listed companies includes several familiar brands. Hoang Phuc International Investment JSC, owner of the Hoang Phuc fashion chain, owes nearly 13 billion VND. Notably, Norah Interior Design and Decoration JSC, a company linked to Truong My Lan and Truong Hue Van (Van Thinh Phat Group), is also named with a debt of over 15 billion VND.

The entertainment and media sectors are also represented. A standout is J97 Entertainment Co., Ltd., co-founded by singer Trinh Tran Phuong Tuan (Jack), which owes nearly 547 million VND.

Established in June 2020 with a charter capital of 5 billion VND, J97 Entertainment is 20% owned by Trinh Tran Phuong Tuan (Jack), while his mother, Tran Thi Cam Loan, holds 80% and serves as the Director and legal representative.

Other companies include Doan Viet Communication and Advertising Equipment Co. (23.6 billion VND), Zeus Massage Service Co. (8.8 billion VND), IPMM Entertainment and Communication Co. (4.8 billion VND), and Tram An Entertainment Co., Ltd. (over 240 million VND).

According to tax authorities, the publication of this list is in compliance with the Law on Tax Administration No. 38/2019 and Decree No. 126/2020, applicable to cases of tax arrears exceeding 90 days. This move aims to pressure organizations and individuals to fulfill their obligations to the state budget.

This is not the first time the HCMC Tax Department has publicly disclosed a tax debt list. In July, the department published a list of 195 companies owing over 1.186 trillion VND. The continuous updates underscore the authorities’ efforts while highlighting the persistent challenge of tax arrears, which significantly strain budget revenues.
