Marvell Urged to Support Vietnam’s Data Center Development by General Secretary To Lam

On the afternoon of October 1st, at the Party Central Headquarters, General Secretary Tô Lâm received Mr. Sandeep Bharathi, Chairman of Marvell Global Group, USA. The General Secretary highlighted key priorities for Marvell to enhance its investment in Vietnam, including supporting the development of data centers, advancing the semiconductor industry, and training the workforce.

The General Secretary warmly welcomed Marvell Global Chairman’s visit to Vietnam, coinciding with the 30th anniversary of normalized relations between Vietnam and the United States and the second year of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. He acknowledged and highly appreciated Marvell’s investment and business achievements in Vietnam over the years, which have significantly contributed to Vietnam’s development and strengthened bilateral ties.

The General Secretary emphasized that Vietnam considers the United States a top-tier partner and expressed a strong desire to maintain the positive, comprehensive, and effective growth of their relationship for the mutual benefit of both nations’ citizens and businesses.

Highlighting the critical role of science and technology, the General Secretary affirmed Vietnam’s commitment to institutional innovation, policy enhancement, and legal reforms to foster a more favorable environment for domestic and foreign investment. He expressed delight at major corporations like Marvell expanding their investments in Vietnam. The General Secretary outlined key priorities for Marvell’s increased investment, including support for data center development, semiconductor industry growth, and workforce training.

Marvell Global Chairman Sandeep Bharathi expressed his honor and gratitude for the General Secretary’s time, sharing Marvell’s business achievements and growth in Vietnam over the past decade. He commended Vietnamese leadership’s vision for science and technology development, aligned with the General Secretary’s directives, and pledged Marvell’s continued partnership in advancing Vietnam’s goals in science, technology, and innovation.
