Ho Chi Minh City is planning to develop the core area of the International Financial Center in the 11 land plots (labeled 1-1 to 1-11) spanning over 9.2 hectares within Functional Zone 1 of the Thu Thiem New Urban Area, Thu Duc.

Currently, this area is vacant land, with infrastructure such as transportation, electricity, water, telecommunications, and lighting already planned. However, there are no residential buildings, offices, or inhabitants in the surrounding plots yet.

Regarding telecommunications and digital infrastructure, four companies currently provide mobile broadband services in the area designated for the Financial Center.

Ten companies offer fixed broadband services, and ten provide data center services around the area.

The entire project is expected to cover 793 hectares, including 20 hectares in Ben Thanh Ward, 146 hectares in Saigon Ward, 563 hectares in Thu Thiem, and 64 hectares along the Saigon River. The core area in Thu Thiem will house administrative, supervisory, and judicial offices.

Initially, the city needs approximately VND 16,000 billion (equivalent to $658 million) to complete the core area’s infrastructure, including the 11 plots in Thu Thiem within the first 2-3 years. This includes VND 2,000 billion for constructing the administrative center’s office buildings.

In the first half of this year, REE reported revenue of VND 4,582 billion and a net profit of VND 1,234 billion, up 14% and 48% year-on-year, respectively. As of June 2025, total assets exceeded VND 37 trillion, with equity of nearly VND 23.5 trillion.
