As the most prominent feature of the Vinhomes Green Paradise Can Gio coastal megacity spanning nearly 2,900 hectares, the 108-story tower developed by Vingroup is poised to become the new icon of Ho Chi Minh City.

Located at the Hai Dang Cape within Zone C (318 hectares), the tower is envisioned as the commercial, financial, service, and maritime hub of the Can Gio metropolis. Strategically positioned 50 km from Ho Chi Minh City’s center, 20 km from Vung Tau by sea, and 12 km from Cai Mep-Thi Vai Port, it offers unparalleled advantages for tourism and logistics.

Standing at 108 stories and 550 meters tall upon completion, this structure will claim the title of the world’s tallest sea-encroaching building. It will also set a new height record in Vietnam, leading Southeast Asia and ranking among the global top 10.

Coupled with critical infrastructure projects like the Can Gio Bridge and high-speed metro line, the tower will catalyze growth in services, tourism, and real estate across the region.

According to Mr. Tin, a local resident near the Vinhomes Can Gio project, “Construction here is progressing rapidly, with investors constantly surveying the area. Land prices nearby are now around 40–50 million VND/m², while alleyways are at 20–30 million VND/m².”

Despite only breaking ground five months ago, hundreds of excavators and barges are already landfilling, pumping sand, and reinforcing foundations, steadily shaping the site for key components.

Offshore, ships and barges continuously transport materials, gradually extending layers of sand into the sea. However, as the tower’s location is nearly 6 km from the current shoreline, significant time remains before its construction site is fully prepared.

Onsite, trucks and heavy machinery operate in tandem, constructing internal roads and maintaining a frenetic pace across the entire construction area.

Adjacent zones like The Haven Bay have already established internal roads and material staging areas. This zone is slated to be the project’s first to launch sales.

Previously, the Landmark 81 tower in Ho Chi Minh City, standing at nearly 462 meters with 81 stories, also developed by Vingroup, made waves for its rapid construction and architectural scale. Thus, the 108-story Can Gio tower is eagerly anticipated to become a new symbol, elevating Vietnam’s stature regionally and globally.
