Record-Breaking Figures for the Coffee Industry
According to the Import-Export Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade), September 2025 coffee exports are estimated at 84,000 tons, valued at 477 million USD, marking the final month of the previous coffee season.
Over the entire 2024-2025 season, Vietnam’s coffee exports reached a staggering 8.437 billion USD, surpassing the previous record of 5.43 billion USD by approximately 3 billion USD. In terms of volume, exports totaled 1.518 million tons, exceeding the previous season by 58,000 tons.
The record-high coffee prices during this season were the primary driver behind these extraordinary export figures. In February 2025, Robusta futures on the London exchange surpassed the 5,800 USD/ton mark.
Data from the first eight months of 2025 reveals that the average export price for Robusta was 5,170 USD/ton, while Arabica fetched 6,633 USD/ton.
Just a few years ago, coffee exports struggled to reach 3 billion USD annually. The industry’s remarkable growth is all the more impressive given the shrinking coffee cultivation area.
