Nest Swift Manufacturing Fined Nearly $43,000, Case Referred to Police

On October 2nd, the Domestic Market Management and Development Department announced a fine of 961.1 million VND imposed on Yen Tri Viet Co., Ltd.

According to case records, on July 7, 2025, the Domestic Market Management and Development Agency (Ministry of Industry and Trade) collaborated with the Hanoi Economic Police Department and the Hanoi Market Management Sub-Department to inspect Yen Tri Viet Co., Ltd. at C53-04 Geleximco Urban Area, Hanoi.

The inspection revealed that many of the company’s products failed quality standards, showed signs of origin misrepresentation, and severely violated regulations on the declaration of dietary supplement standards.

Notably, the sugar-free bird’s nest product contained sugar levels 5.48 times higher than declared, while its energy content fell below the minimum requirement.

Other products, such as Kids Calcium Bird’s Nest and Rock Sugar Bird’s Nest, had protein levels 10–20% lower than declared specifications.

Yen Tri Viet’s Violation Case Transferred to Police for Investigation

The company admitted to selling most of these products, totaling over 74 million VND in value.

For products suspected of being counterfeit, on July 24, 2025, the Domestic Market Management and Development Agency transferred the case to the Duong Noi Ward Police for further investigation.

By September 30, the police had accepted and initiated proceedings. Simultaneously, on September 7, 2025, the agency issued an administrative penalty of 961.1 million VND, mandating the company to recall all substandard products and revoke inaccurate self-declarations.

The Domestic Market Management and Development Agency emphasized that this case serves as a warning about low-quality dietary supplements, including those with counterfeit labels and origins, which can directly harm consumer health.

The agency advises consumers to purchase products from reputable sources, carefully check labels and declarations, and urges businesses to strictly comply with food safety regulations to avoid severe legal consequences.
