With global data projected to grow tenfold in the next decade, Thachawan Chinchakanam, Synology’s Southeast Asia Regional Director, opened the event with a critical insight: 85% of businesses are still in the early or mid-stages of digital transformation. This presents a massive yet challenging market for storage infrastructure and security.

As the world’s largest integrated data platform, Synology’s ecosystem operates across 14 million installations, safeguards 25 million devices, and connects to 2 million surveillance cameras globally. This scale is the result of a 25-year journey, evolving from a network-attached storage (NAS) manufacturer in 2000 to a comprehensive technology solutions provider, including the Synology C2 cloud platform and specialized backup applications.

In Vietnam, Synology’s growth story is particularly striking. Jola Lê, Vietnam Market Manager, revealed that revenue has tripled over the past five years. This growth is driven by major corporations operating in Vietnam, including Toyota Motor Vietnam, Shell, and Lotte World.

Delving deeper into Vietnam’s business landscape, Jola Lê highlighted that the primary growth drivers are enterprises and specialized organizations, particularly in healthcare, finance, and manufacturing. Healthcare demands extensive patient record storage, financial institutions require high-level transaction data security, and manufacturing facilities need comprehensive solutions for storage, security surveillance, and collaboration tools.
