October is shaping up to be a monumental month for Apple enthusiasts, with a slew of exciting product launches on the horizon. Following the unveiling of the iPhone 17, iPhone Air, Apple Watch Ultra 3, and AirPods Pro 3, Apple is set to introduce over five new products this month. Here’s a sneak peek at what’s coming.

New Apple TV 4K

It’s been three years since the last Apple TV 4K update, but a new model is finally on the horizon. Rumors suggest the latest Apple TV 4K will feature:

An A17 Pro chip, upgrading from the current A15 Bionic Support for Apple Intelligence Apple’s new N1 wireless chip And possibly a Center Stage camera

After a long gap between updates and increasing competition from Google and Amazon, Apple is expected to deliver a compelling upgrade for users.

HomePod mini 2

Apple is rumored to launch not one but two Home products in October, with the second being a new HomePod mini. The original HomePod mini, released in November 2020, is long overdue for an upgrade.

Like the new Apple TV 4K, the HomePod mini 2 is expected to support Apple Intelligence and feature Apple’s new N1 chip. It’s also rumored to offer enhanced audio quality and an updated Ultra Wideband chip.

iPad Pro M5

Last year’s iPad Pro was a significant upgrade, featuring a tandem OLED display, ultra-thin design, new accessories, and the debut of the M4 chip. The upcoming iPad Pro M5 is expected to be more of a spec-bump update, as hinted by recent leaks.

Beyond the new M5 chip, the iPad Pro may include Apple’s new N1 wireless chip, 12GB of RAM on some models and 16GB on others, and possibly a dual front-facing camera setup. I’m also curious if Apple will bring its new C1X modem to the iPad Pro. So far, only iPhones have featured Apple’s new C-class modems.

AirTag 2

AirTags aren’t annual upgrades, but with over four years since the original launch, anticipation is high for the next generation. AirTag 2 is rumored to include three key upgrades:

A new Ultra Wideband chip Enhanced privacy features More accurate tracking with extended range

Otherwise, the new AirTag is expected to look and function much like the current model.

Vision Pro M5

The Apple Vision Pro launched earlier in 2024 but has struggled to gain traction with consumers. A new Vision Pro model is on the way, though it’s unlikely to make a significant impact. Rumors suggest the Vision Pro 2 will feature an M5 or M4 chip, a more comfortable headband, and possibly a black color option. However, it’s expected to retain the original design and features.

Wildcard Products: MacBook Pro M5 and New Studio Display

Historically, Apple has launched new MacBook Pro models in or around October. Thus, we’d typically expect a MacBook Pro M5 this month.

However, Mark Gurman has suggested the MacBook Pro M5 might be delayed until early 2026. Most recently, Gurman noted a fall launch could still happen—not just for the MacBook Pro M5 but also for two new Mac displays. One or both are expected to succeed the Studio Display. Additionally, recent FCC leaks hint at an earlier rather than later release for the MacBook Pro M5.
