Defendant Hoang Thi Huong
The Environmental Police Department, in collaboration with the Investigative Police Agency of the Ministry of Public Security, recently uncovered severe accounting violations within the business ecosystem of Hoang Huong. These violations have led to significant consequences for the companies and businesses involved.
Hoang Huong, the mastermind behind this ecosystem, had previously gained notoriety on social media as a successful businesswoman, flaunting her wealth and confidence. However, her reputation was marred by a long list of controversies, including misleading advertisements for dietary supplements, derogatory remarks towards communities, and questionable business practices.
The ecosystem comprised 18 companies, 25 business households, and 44 individuals registered as business owners, all established by Hoang Huong to sell dietary supplements, health-protecting food products, and other items. Despite being the primary operator of these businesses, Huong attempted to deflect responsibility for her actions.
To evade taxes, Huong instructed her employees to allocate revenue to various business households and registered individuals. Preliminary investigations revealed that from January 2021 to June 2025, Hoang Huong failed to record nearly VND 1.8 trillion in revenue and misreported VND 2.1 trillion in value-added tax revenue.
As a result of these violations, the Investigative Police Agency of the Ministry of Public Security has initiated legal proceedings, charging six individuals, including Hoang Thi Huong, her two brothers-in-law, and three employees, with the crime of Violating Accounting Regulations, Resulting in Severe Consequences. The police are currently expanding their investigation into other potential offenses committed by these individuals.
