Recently, Selex Motors and Grab Vietnam announced a two-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on various programs and initiatives aimed at promoting green transportation nationwide.
One of the most notable highlights is the support package for Grab drivers transitioning to Selex-manufactured electric motorcycles.

Grab and Selex sign a two-year cooperation agreement.
Specifically, Selex offers a direct discount of VND 3 million on the list price for Grab drivers, along with a complimentary engine maintenance package worth VND 500,000 and a 30% reduction in battery rental costs for the first year—valued at up to VND 6 million for drivers opting for the 4,500 km/month battery rental package.
Additionally, Grab provides a VND 1 million reward for the first 1,000 drivers who switch to Selex vehicles.
In total, the combined incentives for Grab drivers in this program amount to VND 10.5 million.

It’s important to note that the above support program is part of a broader effort by both Grab and Selex to encourage drivers to switch to electric motorcycles. This includes communication campaigns to ensure drivers have full access to information about vehicles, charging stations, and battery rental packages. Both parties will also explore ways to reduce charging and battery swapping costs.
Selex, as an electric vehicle manufacturer, will introduce exclusive policies for Grab partner drivers, covering not only vehicle purchases but also after-sales services such as maintenance, care, and battery rental/swapping.
Grab, on its part, will facilitate the transition for drivers to Selex vehicles and provide feedback to Selex to enhance the entire vehicle ecosystem.

Selex battery swapping station at a Petrolimex gas station.
Currently, Selex is recognized as a pioneer and leader in the battery-swapping electric motorcycle segment. The company offers two models targeting service riders: Camel and Camel 2.
Selex has deployed over 100 battery swapping stations in major Vietnamese cities. Recently, numerous Selex swapping stations have also been installed and operational at Petrolimex gas stations.
Not limited to Selex motorcycles, vehicles from DK Bike and EVGo can also utilize these swapping stations.

Selex independently researches, develops, and manufactures vehicles, batteries, swapping stations, and software.
According to publicly available information, Selex independently researches, develops, and manufactures electric motorcycles, motorcycle batteries, battery swapping stations, and software. For batteries, the company uses LG and Samsung-supplied 21700 Li-ion cells. Each pack has a capacity of 1.16 kWh, weighs approximately 7 kg, and meets the IP67 dust and water resistance standard.
Selex’s battery swapping stations feature 19 compartments, capable of holding up to 18 batteries (with one empty compartment for swapping). The stations are equipped with surveillance cameras, touchscreens, and internet connectivity, allowing users to swap batteries by simply interacting with the system.
The entire battery swapping process takes about 2 minutes, eliminating the waiting time associated with charging—a common inconvenience of electric motorcycles compared to fossil fuel-powered vehicles.
