Three ambitious projects—Nhat Le Coastal Mixed-Use Urban Area, Dong Hoi Central Mixed-Use Urban Area, and Le Ky West River Mixed-Use Urban Area—are poised to mark a new era of development for Quang Tri, a land of dual heritage. These projects signify Quang Tri’s aspiration to become a new growth hub in North-Central Vietnam. They also mark Sun Group’s inaugural presence in enhancing the beauty of this region.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Tran Phong, Chairman of Quang Tri Provincial People’s Committee, stated, “The collaboration between Quang Tri Province and Sun Group in launching these three projects is a testament to our commitment to attracting investment and creating world-class developments. Our goal is to elevate Quang Tri’s tourism and urban landscape, transforming it into a destination that is not only rich in cultural heritage and natural beauty but also a modern, livable, and vibrant place.”

Spanning nearly 780 hectares and representing the largest urban development investment in Quang Tri to date (over VND 38 trillion), these three urban areas offer unparalleled advantages. They combine prime locations, robust infrastructure connectivity, diverse product offerings, and multifaceted experiences.
Strategically located, all three projects are at the heart of transportation and tourism hubs: near the sea, along rivers, in urban centers, and within the “tourism triangle” of Phong Nha-Ke Bang, Vung Chua-Yen Island, and Nhat Le-Bao Ninh.

In terms of connectivity, the projects are aligned with major routes such as National Highway 1A and Ho Chi Minh Road. They are just a short drive from Dong Hoi Airport and Railway Station, offering seamless access for domestic and international visitors via air, rail, and road.
This connectivity extends to essential amenities like schools, hospitals, public squares, and administrative centers, as well as iconic landmarks such as the Me Suot Memorial. Each project also integrates educational, healthcare, and sports facilities within its master plan, catering to long-term residential needs.
Beyond their strategic locations, the projects boast exceptional natural landscapes, setting the stage for elevating Quang Tri’s tourism. Highlights include the Quang Phu sand dunes, which not only offer stunning scenery but also help regulate water and climate. Nearby rivers and lakes, such as Bau Tren, Bau Duoi, Bau Tro, and Le Ky River, create a harmonious blend of nature and urban vibrancy.
These inherent advantages form the foundation for Sun Group’s integrated entertainment, tourism, and hospitality ecosystem. Each project is meticulously tailored to maximize the region’s unique potential.

The Nhat Le Coastal Mixed-Use Urban Area, covering over 276 hectares with an investment of VND 12.5 trillion, is located in Nam Trach Commune and Dong Thuan Ward. It stretches along Nhat Le Beach—one of Vietnam’s top 10 most beautiful beaches—and features the Quang Phu sand dunes, a pristine and captivating natural wonder.
Leveraging its unique landscape, Sun Group will create world-class entertainment, leisure, and hospitality experiences centered around the “white sand paradise” of Quang Phu. These will include adventure sports, arts, and relaxation activities reminiscent of Dubai’s famous desert attractions.
The Dong Hoi Central Mixed-Use Urban Area, spanning over 212 hectares with an investment of VND 11.9 trillion, is situated in Dong Thuan and Dong Hoi Wards, adjacent to Bau Tro Lake—one of Quang Tri’s largest natural freshwater lakes. The project will set a new standard for sustainable urban living, with over 60 hectares dedicated to green spaces, including themed parks, gardens, and waterfront landscapes.

The Le Ky West River Mixed-Use Urban Area, covering over 291 hectares with an investment of nearly VND 13.9 trillion, is located in Dong Hoi Ward and Quang Ninh Commune. Situated on the west bank of the Le Ky River—a fertile, auspicious site—the project will feature modern living spaces, high-end commercial services, themed parks, and cultural-entertainment complexes integrated with the river’s vibrant energy. Its design draws inspiration from thriving riverside cities like Seoul’s Han River, China’s Yangtze River, and Bangkok’s Chao Phraya River.
“For nearly two decades, Sun Group has been dedicated to ‘Enhancing the Beauty of Every Region.’ Following transformative projects in Da Nang, Phu Quoc, Sa Pa, Tay Ninh, Quang Ninh, and Thanh Hoa, we are now channeling our passion into Quang Tri. This marks a pivotal step in unlocking the province’s potential, positioning tourism as a key economic driver, and creating internationally acclaimed entertainment, hospitality, and urban developments. Our efforts will drive sustainable economic growth and establish Quang Tri as a premier national and global destination,” emphasized Mr. Dang Minh Truong, Chairman of Sun Group’s Board of Directors.

With recent administrative restructuring, Quang Tri has unlocked vast development opportunities. By leveraging its dual heritage—natural and historical—the province is poised to strengthen its role as a vital link in the East-West and North-South economic corridors. It will also enhance its strategic position within ASEAN and the Greater Mekong Subregion, fostering economic, trade, tourism, and investment cooperation.
