On October 2nd, in Hanoi, T&T Energy Joint Stock Company – a member of T&T Group – was honored with the Green Growth Strong Brand 2025 award. This prestigious recognition is bestowed upon enterprises leading the way in green growth strategies, energy transition, carbon emission reduction, and sustainable consumption.

A 2,900 MW footprint and a portfolio of domestic and international projects

Recognized as one of Vietnam’s leading energy developers, T&T Group has established a robust investment strategy with a long-term vision. This has enabled the group to swiftly make its mark across various sectors, including solar power, wind power, LNG, and cross-border energy projects.

The group’s debut in June 2020 with the Phuoc Ninh Solar Power Plant paved the way for a series of T&T Group-branded energy projects nationwide. To date, the group, led by entrepreneur Do Quang Hien, has achieved a cumulative investment capacity of nearly 2,900 MW. This includes the completion and operation of 10 wind and solar power plants across Vietnam, with a total capacity of 877 MW. Additionally, T&T Group is developing the Hai Lang LNG Power Plant Phase 1 in Quang Tri, with a capacity of 1,500 MW and an investment of nearly $2.3 billion. The project, approved by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, is slated for completion and operation by Q3 2029.

With a long-term vision and professional investment strategy, T&T Group has rapidly established its position on the energy map with a range of solar, wind, LNG, and cross-border energy projects.

Expanding beyond Vietnam, T&T Group is also developing the Savan 1 Wind Power Project in Laos, with a capacity of 495 MW. Phase 1, with 300 MW, is expected to commence operations by the end of 2025, marking T&T Energy’s first strategic step into the international market.

The Green Growth Strong Brand 2025 award is a testament to T&T Energy’s remarkable achievements, solidifying T&T Group’s growing presence in the national and regional energy landscape. It also acknowledges the group’s commitment to sustainable development in partnership with the government.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Binh, Deputy CEO of T&T Group and Chairwoman of T&T Energy, “The Green Growth Strong Brand 2025 award is a powerful motivator for T&T Energy and T&T Group to continue investing robustly in green transformation and maintaining our leadership in the energy sector.”

“This award serves as a springboard for T&T Energy and T&T Group to surge ahead, becoming a symbol of Vietnamese private enterprises’ aspirations in the journey to greenify the nation’s energy. We are committed to actively supporting the government in ensuring national energy security and elevating Vietnam’s brand on the global energy map,” Ms. Binh emphasized.

T&T Group’s sustainable energy development strategy

T&T Energy’s recognition not only highlights the company’s efforts but also underscores T&T Group’s strategic vision in the energy sector – a key pillar in the multi-industry ecosystem of entrepreneur Do Quang Hien.

Just before the 80th National Day on September 2nd, T&T Group completed the connection of the Savan 1 Wind Power Plant’s transmission line (Savannakhet, Laos) to the first tower of the 220kV line in Vietnam, after just six months of construction. This achievement vividly demonstrates the group’s execution capabilities and long-term strategy in cross-border energy development.

The 220kV transmission line from the Savan 1 Wind Power Plant in Laos was completed in just six months and is set to connect to Vietnam’s national grid soon.

T&T Group and T&T Energy continue to pioneer in emerging energy sectors such as offshore wind power, LNG hubs, and green hydrogen. The group is also investing in renewable energy projects, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and other initiatives. These projects aim to supply electricity to the national grid, sell power directly to FDI enterprises through DPPA mechanisms, provide energy storage solutions for renewable energy plants, and produce green hydrogen. Many projects have been approved under the Power Development Plan VIII and are being incorporated into the adjusted Plan VIII. T&T Group is preparing to launch these projects in the 2026-2030 period.

To execute these projects, T&T Group has partnered with leading global energy companies, including Hanwha, Kogas, Kospo, SK Innovation (South Korea); EREX, Marubeni, Sojitz, JPower (Japan); Cospower, Gedi, Goldwind (China); BP (UK); and Vinacom (Laos). Notably, Standard Chartered Bank has committed a $6 billion financing package for T&T Group’s green energy projects.

T&T Group has established partnerships with leading global energy companies.

In the context of the Politburo’s Resolution No. 70-NQ/TW on ensuring national energy security by 2030 with a vision to 2045, T&T Group’s strategy exemplifies the private sector’s ambition to partner with the nation in sustainable energy development. This lays the foundation for double-digit growth in the future.
